 FEATURED ENGRAVED CONCRETE

Description:

This customer had a nice view from an upper wood deck area but wanted to utilize the area that was below. The idea was to use the area for gatherings and a new hot tub. The only request the customer had was that when people came out on the upper deck and looked below, they would say WoW! I think the design we gave him did just that. What more can be said...

 FEATURED ENGRAVED CONCRETE

Description:

This site had an existing swimming pool that was 33 years old. The surface of the concrete had been worn off considerably due to extensive pressure washing. The idea was to create a new look for the pool setting. The method of choice for this project was to stain and engrave the existing concrete. A cobblestone design was selected for the unique appearance. Four dogwood blossoms were inset and framed by a cobblestone boarder. Pigmented semi-transparent concrete stains were used for color.

FEATURED STAMPED CONCRETE AND SWIMMING POOL DESIGN

Description:

This is one of our highly prized swimming pool projects. One feature that is sure to get your attention is the rock wall around the back of the pool. While this may appear to be authentic stacked stone, actually it is stamped concrete. This is a relatively new technology in stamped concrete as it uses a special lightweight polymer cement that is waterproof, fireproof and extremely durable. The proprietary mixture is of our own design and will adhere to virtually any surface.

Another feature that stands out is the stamped concrete framed by natural textured concrete boarders. The concrete was stamped with a Cobblestone Paver design. Iron black pigment was added to the liquid release agent during the stamping process. After the concrete was set, black acid stain was used as a final color. Acid staining gives a one of a kind appearance to concrete as it only reacts with the cement content. Acid staining is also a permanent process that will never be worn off because it is a chemical reaction.
