In 1977 at the age of eighteen Anthony Sloan formed Sloan Construction after working in earlier years with his grandfather Estel Sloan doing various remodeling and paint jobs in and around the Greater Nashville Area. During this early period his grandfather and his work taught him many things that would be useful as a business man in the construction industry as well as the value of always doing the best job that you can.
In 1979 Anthony met with a person by the name of Dick Hutchinson that would prove to be another door to the success of Sloan Construction. Mr. Hutchinson represented a company by the name of Pleasure Pools. After a indepth discussion with Mr. Hutchinson Anthony was convinced that he had found his niche. The Swimming Pool industry would be the New Frontier for Sloan Construction.
One year later in 1980 Anthony purchased his first piece of heavy equipment, a used backhoe. With only a hand full of pool builds under his belt he found that if he was ever to be successful in this business he would have to also learn the excavating business as well. During the next several years Anthony would gain a wealth of knowledge in the areas of pool construction, concrete construction, survey, and grade work. Anthony found the road to success was often times a rocky one but always maintained the faith that one day it would pay off.
Today, Sloan Construction Services is a successful company that is always on the cutting edge of technology. Masters of their crafts, Anthony and his wife Tena keep the company in focus with new trends in the booming decorative concrete industry as well as designing and building custom inground swimming pools. After many years and over 250 pools now, we are known to be one of the best pool builders in the state. While most of our decorative concrete work is dedicated to our swimming pools, we do offer our services for individual jobs.
